JUNGLE FEVER

I’ve tried a few hair products by LUSH, and for the most part, I preferred their soaps and skin care stuff. But the Jungle solid conditioner seemed interesting. There are plenty of solid shampoos/soap bars that do wonders for the hair, so I figured their solid conditioner might have similar results. After a few tries, I’m really glad I bought this product. It’s so different from other conditioners. It feels extremely lightweight and ineffective at first, but after leaving in the product for a few minutes and rinsing, my hair was refreshed and brand new. My curls were bouncy, shiny and well-kept, and they stayed that way after air drying my hair. No frizz at all! It also has a great smell that doesn’t linger in an unbearable way like some other LUSH hair products– and like many hair products in general. I’m not one to be obsessed with maintaining curls, but I do like how this product keeps my hair frizzing in the summer heat.

At $5.95 per 2 oz of Jungle, this conditioner is extremely economical. You barely need to apply anything. I recommend taking a small piece off (about the size of your thumb print), and rubbing it between your palms when your hands are wet. Distribute throughout wet hair from root to tip and repeat one or two times if you have longer or thicker hair. If you feel like you’ve missed a spot, simply rub the bar directly on your hair a little bit and finger comb. The solid form helps keep you from overusing product– just don’t expect the product to feel heavy and creamy on your hair like normal conditioners.
